One of the few post offices around the Brentford area was closed this Tuesday due to anti-social behaviour.

The South Ealing Road Post Office closed on 24 August after being issued a section 76 order under the anti-social behaviour, crime and policing act 2014.

Northfield police issued the notice on Tuesday to prevent the continuation or reoccurrence of "nuisance or disorder".

The Save & Select Superstore from which the post office was run, has been issued the same notice and will be closed until further notice.

It is believed the action was taken due to persistent disorder in and around the premises.

The sign adds that the matter has been adjourned until Monday 6 September, where it will be addressed at the Uxbridge magistrates court.

The nearest post offices for Brentford residents are now, Boston Parade Post Office on Boston Manor road and the Strand on the Green Post Office on Thames road.

A long awaited new post office is set to open in Brentford next month.
