Brentford resident's festive fireplace makes it to shortlist in national competition

By The Editor 26th Aug 2021

A Brentford resident made it onto the shortlist to find the best Christmas fireplace display in a national competition.

Jo-Ann Taylor's fabulous fireplace made it to the final ten entries of the competition organised by Glowing Embers, a company that specialises in Wood Burning Stoves and Flue Systems.

The competition asked people across the UK to share their fireplace mantel displays, decorated in all types of festive decorations - garlands, stockings, candles, ornaments, fairy lights, and more.

There were more than 40 entries from across the UK, with people entering their festive displays via Facebook.

Jo-Ann entered her fireplace decorated with a Christmas wreath, hanging baubles, a collection of snowmen, as well as other red and white decorations to match her festive theme.

A Glowing Embers spokesperson said: "The quality of entries into our Christmas competition has been fantastic and it was really tough shortlisting the entries down to just 10!

"We hope our competition has brought a bit of festive fun to homes across the UK and thank you to everyone who entered, we have enjoyed seeing all of your festive fireplace displays you have created."

Winner and shortlist here

While Jo-Ann did not win the competition outright, she did well to get into the top ten!

Have you made a big effort to decorate your home this year? Whether its interior, the garden or your balcony.
