A recent article in The Sunday Times has ranked Brentford as one of 'the best places to invest in the UK' in 2024.

The national newspaper listed the top 25 locations that are on the up and worth investment right now.

It has taken into consideration not just large development projects but the town's businesses, transport links and culture.

The paper writes: "The Sunday Times has identified 25 locations in the UK that are improving the most.

"They are all on a strong upward curve. It isn't just large-scale regeneration schemes that can turn a place's fortunes around.

"The list includes places with improved transport links and new shops and restaurants, as well as the impact that arts, culture and entrepreneurial energy can have."

Brentford ranks 24th on The Sunday Times list of best places to invest in right now.

It says Brentford is the best place for 'champagne views on a (craft) beer budget'.

The Sunday Times adds: "This Thames-side ugly duckling neighbourhood is emerging as a waterfront contender thanks to the Brentford Project, a 12-acre redevelopment that aims to spruce up the dowdy high street while providing smart flats with a residents' pool and views over nearby Syon Park and Kew Gardens.

"The full completion date is 2027, but one-bedders are on sale from £467,500, while an Everyman cinema is due to open this autumn."

Below it at 25th is Bawtry, Doncaster and at 23rd is Southbourne, Dorset.

Number one on The Sunday Times 25 best places to invest in 2024 is Liverpool Docks, Merseyside.
