BRENTFORD Post Office will reopen next month in a new location, it has been announced.

The new Post Office will be located at the Food Link store at 204 High Street and will open for business from September 16 at 1pm.

In addition to postal services, local residents will be able to access a wide range of other services, such as making online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, sending money abroad, paying bills, and pre-ordering travel money among others.

Brentford had been without a Post Office for nearly three years, since the previous branch located at 102-103 High Street, closed down in December 2018.

The new location is less than a five-minute walk from the old branch (200 metres).

The new premises will have a wide entrance with double doors and level access, while internally there will be a hearing loop and space for a wheelchair.

The opening hours for the new Post Office will be seven days a week, 8am-11pm.

Until September 2, residents can make suggestions about specific aspects of the new branch, such as on accessibility.

Submission can be made online HERE, via email at [email protected], by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS or via the telephone at 03452 660 115.

Simon Grant, Network Provision Lead, said: "We are delighted to restore a full-time Post Office to Brentford, as we know how important Post Office services are to a community."
