Flats are set to replace the Royal Mail depot

Council planners have recommended approval of an application to demolish the Royal Mail sorting office in London Road in Brentford to build flats.

Hounslow Council's planning committee will consider the recommendations at a virtual meeting on Thursday.

The planners' report said: "The design would be of a high quality, preserving the character and appearance of the wider area and would not harm neighbours' living conditions or give rise to any significant concerns in terms of impact on the local highways network."

The application was made on behalf of Viewranks Estates who own the site.
