BRENTFORD Penguins FC will be hosting a summer football camp for kids with down's syndrome next week at Gunnersbury Park.
The camp will take place across three days, from Monday, August 2, until Wednesday, August 4, and will be open to children over the age of eight.
Former Brentford footballer and founder of Brentford Penguins, Allan Cockram, told Brentford Nub News: "This camp is the pinnacle of all we've worked for during these past four years since we were founded.
"It's fantastic to see that parents trust us with their kids for four hours a day, I'm very proud of our work to get here.
"At the same time getting the support of Brentford's first team is also very special, as they can see the work we're doing here, it's a form of validation for our hard work.
"If you do the right thing with your heart and conscience in the right place, things will fall into place, just like it has here with us."
The club also recently received a £2,000 donation from Brentford FC and they were able to gift the children personalised kits and bags with their names on them.
"Each kid also got the number 21 on their shirt due to the extra chromosome 21 which causes down's syndrome," added Allan.
There are still some places available for the camp next week, which cost £45 total for all three days.
