Boy, 15, stabbed on Green Dragon Lane

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Brentford yesterday (Sunday, August 14).

Police were called to the scene on Green Dragon Lane after the teenager was attacked shortly before 8.41pm.

Met Office announces yellow warning for Brentford as thunder rolls into the capital

A yellow weather warning has been put in place by the Met Office today (Monday, August 15) as thunderstorms are expected to wash the heatwave away.

Between now and Wednesday, Brentford could see "torrential downpours" and the UK's national weather service has alerted all of London to the likelihood that frequent lightning, large hail and flash flooding will replace the recent wildfires.

Victim of fatal mobility scooter stabbing named, detectives release image of man seen running from scene with a knife

Police have released the name of the 87-year-old man stabbed to death while riding a mobility scooter in Ealing last night (Tuesday, 16 August) and an image of a man seen running from the crime scene with a knife.

Thomas O'Halloran died on Cayton Road, Greenford, after being attacked just after 4pm. Met Police say he was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

Strikes bring public transport to a standstill – 'Don't' attempt to travel'

The rail network, London Underground and buses in the capital will be hit by walkouts in the next few days, bringing the transport system to a standstill.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union, Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) and Unite will be involved in the industrial action, after ongoing talks failed to find a breakthrough in a row over pay and conditions.

What's on in Brentford this weekend

Thursday: August Porsche Night

All humans and dogs are invited to join the popular monthly Porsche meet at Duke of London. 

Pork, pizzas and pints are in store, plus live music in The Brewery Tap for guests to enjoy.

The event will support Cocoon, a local charity supporting young care leavers in the Borough of Hounslow, with 25% of proceeds from ticket sales donated to the organisation.
