Local residents want to see regular foot patrols and more police support given to crime victims, the Brentford & Isleworth MP has said.

In comments made on Facebook yesterday, Ruth Cadbury said she has raised policing issues with the Met and directly with the Government, further to meeting with Superintendent Anthony Bennett earlier this month.

Superintendent Bennett, who overseas neighbouring policing in Hounslow, Ealing and Hillingdon, presented to Ms Cadbury how police have been working locally with residents and community groups to tackle anti-social behaviour, burglary and other crimes.

Ms Cadbury said: "The new policing team on Hounslow High Street has made a real difference and I know that it has been welcomed by residents and business owners.

"However I know from listening to people locally that there is still too little support provided to the victims of crime and that people want to see regular foot patrols locally – this is an issue I've raised with both the police and directly with the Government."
