BRENTFORD FC coach Thomas Frank expressed he is hopeful and believes in his team ahead of their Premier League away game against the Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow.
Frank shared his thoughts about the Bees performance so far and stressed the importance of local fans and the team's community work.
Ahead of the match, Frank said: "This is going to be a difficult away game, they are favourites but we believe in ourselves.
"Most importantly I think we have been very consistent in our performances so far and that's made me happy but I also believe we can continue doing some great stuff.
"We are bold and brave and that's the way we prefer to do it."
He also commented on the important role Brentford fans play in motivating the team and how "crucial" community work is to them.
Frank said: "I love the support we get from all Brentford fans but of course from all the locals, it means a lot, it's very important.
"It's not only from me but also our staff members, and when our players get to meet local Brentford fans in the community, that means the world to us."
On being part of Brentford's rise into the Premier League, he said: "I'm a football coach because I love football and working with people, but it's fantastic to be part of something that means so much to a lot of people.
"For me the community work is crucial, I've played football myself my whole life in local community groups in Denmark and I love when I watched my son play in local groups.
"I love when we come to games and there's a park and children, boys and girls, are playing around, it's fantastic, you know how much football is giving to the team and to feel the togetherness and to belong somewhere, I think this is extremely important."
Frank hit a milestone recently, celebrating his 150th game as head coach for Brentford FC.
He said: "I've enjoyed every minute and I'm privileged to be here, we have a fantastic group of players and staff, I think we have a bright future ahead of us, it's promising."
Frank spent 18 years in youth coaching, before he became an assistant head coach for Brentford in 2016, and was then promoted to head coach in October 2018.
He also shared his thoughts on the Bees match last weekend against Brighton and Hove Albion: "The big thing for me is that we performed well, we lost in the last minute and that happens.
"When you are a promoted team going into the Premier League on the lowest budget, it's difficult, but I believe we have an offensive quality.
"Its pleasing that we performed well in the first four games, but we need to constantly perform at this level.
"We are definitely unbelievably hungry with massive determination to keep showing we belong here and that is going to be for a long time.
"We need to work on it every single day."
Kick-off is at 12:30 tomorrow (18 September) when the Bees will take on the Wolves.
