The public are invited to share their comments on the emerging redevelopment plans for the Montgomery's Wharf site in Brentford.

Developers Fairview New Homes are looking to bring forward an application for full planning permission to develop the riverside site in Brentford into new homes, public spaces and employment space.

They will be holding the first of two public consultations to gather comments and feedback about the emerging plans and vision for the 3.5 acre site.

This first consultation is designed to gather the publics initial thoughts on the early plans.

The site is located immediately to the south of Brentford High Street, formerly the UK headquarters of Heidelberg Graphic Equipment Ltd since 1979, and currently vacant office space and warehouses.

Fairview have previously said they will work with the London Borough of Hounslow to bring forward a residential led mixed-use development of over 350 new apartments across the site.

This is the first of two public consultations planned for this scheme.

After reviewing the initial feedback, Fairview said they will return to the community later in year to consult on more detailed plans.

Members of residents' group Brentford Voice, who are holding their first AGM this Thursday, attended a site visit last week.

A spokesperson for Brentford Voice said: "We would certainly hope, and expect, that the Heidelberg development will incorporate a very high proportion of truly affordable housing with a suitable range of sizes of homes, that it will be a zero-carbon development, that it will be built to the highest standards of design, and that it will not have a negative impact on heritage assets.

"Our main question, which applies generally to all of the many large developments in Brentford is "Where is the investment in infrastructure (transport, drainage, health, education, arts and culture, leisure etc. etc.) to support the very high levels of growth in Brentford?".

A public exhibition will be held from 4pm - 7pm, Tuesday 2nd November at Brentford Free Church, Boston Manor Road, TW8 8DW.

You can also submit your comments about the site development on their virtual consultation page.
