You will have seen plenty of pictures of the celebrations at Wembley as Brentford secured promotion to the Premier League.

But the town itself exploded in a crescendo of celebrations after the victory over Swansea in the Championship Final sent Thomas Frank's men into the top flight of football for the first time since the 1940s.

Pubs where fans who could not make it to Wembley erupted into wild celebrations on Saturday.

Cars, buses and even police cars beeped their horns as they drove past the various venues where Bees fans were celebrating.

Kew Bridge saw flares and fireworks to mark the Bees ascendancy to the top flight - after nine failed attempts at promotion through the play-offs.

It was perfect weather for fans to enjoy celebrations in the streets and pubs.

Hopefully Bees fans will be able to watch their team play again at the new stadium - but this time they'll be watching the Brentford play the biggest names in international football, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
