THE British Theatre Academy are holding auditions in Isleworth for young performers to take part in their production of Elf Jr at the Hampton Hill Theatre in January 2022.

Auditions are free and young performers and budding actors from the local area are encouraged to try out for a chance to take part in a professional production this winter.

The auditions run for 45 minutes to 1 hour and auditionees will be taught a short dance routine, which they will perform in smaller groups in front of the person holding the audition.

Auditionees will then, one at a time, perform a prepared Musical Theatre/ Pop song of their choice, for no more than one minute.

A spokesperson for the Theatre said: "We have seen our young members and alumni feature in various high profile professional Theatre, TV and Film titles, and we have had unrivalled success in nurturing young artists to develop a professional and sustainable career in performing and other creative industries."

"Founded in 1989 as Songtime Theatre Arts by our CEO Matthew Chandler, we have been nurturing young performers for over 30 years, rebranding as The British Theatre Academy in 2016 to mark our commitment to free and affordable theatre training across the country."

Elf Jr auditions are also being carried out in Isleworth, Sutton, Wimbledon and Surbiton so far.

Auditionees are advised to wear clothes easy to move in, with jazz shoes, plimsolls or soft trainers.

Auditions will be held at the Blue School, New Hall Entrance, South Street, Isleworth, TW7 7BG.

The Elf Jr performance will happen at the Hampton Hill Theatre on 2 -8 January 2022.
