Today's weather: Highs of 15 degrees and lows of 11 degrees, overcast changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime, according to the Met Office, with wind gusts between 13 – 16 mph.

Met office news: Future extreme rainfall more extreme than first thought. New calculations show that in Glasgow, where COP26 is being hosted, the number of days where 30mm of rain or more is recorded in an hour could be 3.5 times more likely by the 2070s compared with the 1990s.

Traffic: As of 7:45am this morning, AA traffic reported queueing traffic on M4 into town between J3 / A312 (Hayes / Heston) and J2 A4 Great West Road (Brentford). Where three lanes drop to two, a mile before J2.

Severe delays of 13 minutes and delays increasing on M4 Eastbound between M4 (Heston Services) and J2 A4 Great West Road (Brentford). Average speed ten mph.
