Brentford East and Chiswick Safer Neighbourhood officers will host a bike marking event on 28 October outside Chiswick Town Hall at 2pm.

This comes after Brentford East and Chiswick officers added 20 bikes to the police BikeRegister database on 14 October in Kew Bridge Road.

Bike marking is a way to put a secret mark or code on your bicycle, usually on the frame.

This mark helps identify your bike as yours and deters thieves because they know the marked bike can be traced back to its owner.

If your marked bike is stolen and then found by the police, they can use BikeRegister database to return it to you.

BikeRegister have 1,298,865 bikes registered to their database.
