A three-year-old boy was one of three people found dead in a residential property in Brentford in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers forced entry to the address in Clayponds Lane, at 12.50am following concerns for the welfare of the occupants.

The Met said: "Officers discovered the bodies of a woman, believed to be aged in her 30s, and a boy, believed to be aged three.

"A man, believed to be in his 40s, was found suffering stab injuries. London Ambulance Service attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene."

Police said it is thought all three people were known to each other and enquiries are underway to inform next of kin.

Post mortem examinations will be scheduled for all three people in due course and detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.

Police say that at this stage they are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

Police officers were still at the scene on Tuesday afternoon.

One resident, Sheri Diba, who has lived in the building for several years, said: "I could not imagine someone is dead in this building.

"It's a very nice area, a very nice building, I never had any problem. I'm really shocked."

Anyone who has information that could assist police with their investigation are asked to call 101 ref CAD 7365/6 Oct.
