A man has been arrested by detectives investigating an incident in Hanworth which left a man with critical injuries.

Police were called shortly after 8am on Saturday, 30 March, to a man in his 50s who had been taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service suffering head injuries.

Officers established that the man had sustained the injuries at an address in Basden Grove, Hanworth.

He remains in hospital in a critical condition and his family have been informed.

Detectives from West Area CID are investigating the incident.

On Sunday, 31 March, they arrested a man, aged in his 40s on suspicion of GBH (grievous bodily harm).

He remains in custody at a west London police station.
