A 52-year-old man was arrested at an address in west London on Monday, 22 November by officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.

The man was arrested on suspicion of collecting information likely to be useful to a person preparing an act of terrorism (contrary to Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000).

He was taken to a London police station and has subsequently been released on police bail until a date in late December.

Investigators are analysing a number of devices as part of their ongoing enquiries.

This comes after another man from west London was charged with eight Terrorism Act offences on Monday.

The 21-year-old man appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday after being charged with eight counts of dissemination of terrorist material.

He was arrested on Tuesday, 16 November, along with a 19-year-old man under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

If you see something suspicious, you can either tell a police officer, report it online via www.gov.uk/ACT or call the confidential Anti-Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321. In an emergency, call 999.
