Ballymore have revealed plans for new "larger" shops once the Brentford High Street redevelopment is complete.

The developer has been taking part in the first community group liaison meeting involving Martin Case of Brentford Voice.

In the first meeting, the company was asked about new retail provision.

Ballymore said: "We expect to see larger shops on the high street, while the 'lanes' will be filed with smaller shops and cafes.

"Restaurants will cluster around Workhouse Dock and the waterfront and we will set design standards to ensure all premises are of high quality."

The development is also to incorporate a new supermarket. Asked how big it will be and when it will open, Ballymore said: "We are looking to issue a press release on this in early November."
