SYON House has reopened to the public following the coronavirus pandemic, albeit with some restrictions.

On Thursday, June 10, the House owned by the Duke of Northumberland opened its doors to welcome visitors for the first time on a trial basis.

Up until last week, only the Gardens and Conservatory were open, having opened for the first time on March 17.

House Guides will take groups of six on a tour of the Robert Adam State Rooms and view many of the beautiful items in the collection, while the Gardens and the Conservatory are open as usual Wednesday to Sunday 10:30am-4:30pm.

In order to be admitted, visitors need to log in using the NHS Track and Trace app, wear a face mask (unless exempt) and have their temperature checked upon entering the House.

Social distancing is enforced where possible and hand sanitising stations are available throughout the venue.
