HOUNSLOW Borough has seen an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases following last week's decrease.

Specifically, there was an increase of over 42% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of June 21 to 27, Hounslow Borough saw 311 new positive cases, compared to 219 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 42.01%, with 92 more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 114.9, compared to 80.9 the week before.

Those figures are still lower than the average across both London and England however.

London as a whole had 12,691 new cases during the week of June 21 to 27, which represents 141.6 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 97,151 new cases during the same week, correlating to 172.6 cases per 100,000 people.
