Gunnersbury Estate has received £187,795 in the latest round of the government's Culture Recovery Fund, administered by Arts Council England.

Following on from their success in a previous round of the Culture Recovery Fund, Gunnersbury said this new grant is a 'vital boost' to their long term commercial recovery after the 'devastating impact' of the pandemic.

These funds will be invested in ensuring their operations become more sustainable and for them to continue to provide an exciting cultural and heritage offer for local communities.

CEO, David Bowler said: "We are delighted to receive this essential support which will underpin our recovery from the impact of the pandemic."

Over £1.2 billion has already been awarded from the unprecedented Culture Recovery Fund, including a £100,000 to the Watermans art centre in Brentford.

The fund is supporting around 5,000 individual organisations and sites across the country ranging from local museums to West End theatres, grassroots music venues to festivals, and organisations in the cultural and heritage supply-chains.

Culture Secretary, Nadine Dorries said: "Culture is for everyone and should therefore be accessible to everyone, no matter who they are and where they're from.

"Through unprecedented government financial support, the Culture Recovery Fund is supporting arts and cultural organisations so they can continue to bring culture to communities the length and breadth of the country, supporting jobs, boosting local economies and inspiring people."
