The London Borough of Hounslow is looking for library assistants to join their library teams across the borough.

The successful candidate will make a positive difference for residents and visitors by ensuring the quality of library services are maintained to a high standard.

You will work as part of a team to deliver high quality front-line services to customers of the Library Service in a designated Council Library or specialist area e.g. Prison, Schools' Library Service, Library at Home or Archives and Local Studies.

The chosen candidate will assist in the provision of information and assistance to customers of the Library or specialist area as appropriate.

Hounslow's Library Service consists of 11 libraries, an archives and local studies collection and specialist services serving discrete users e.g. those who are housebound and isolated and schools.

Staff will be expected to work evenings and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rota basis.

The role is £22,185 - £22,587 per annum pro rata, plus enhanced payment for weekend working.

The package is either permanent full-time or part-time 27 hours at Feltham Hub.
